At the handshake and launch of Texas Tales version 2.1, a hidden message embedded in the code was left in a state it should not have been. It had to be corrected swiftly.

Someone did find it once fixed. The message read:

“Burning the Midnight Oil”

This was a reference to the handshake occurring at midnight MST. It was never intended as a persistent clue. The message was only meant to survive 3 attempts into the input box at the end of Texas Tales before disappearing entirely.

If you found it during that window, you caught something real. It was not part of the solve path. It was a timestamp, not a clue.

When asked what direction the Geode would be if flying out of Paris, the answer NW was given.

This was not a directional clue toward the Geode’s location. It was only intended to communicate that Arkansas had been eliminated from the search area. The NW bearing was a byproduct of that cancellation. It was not a solve vector.

If you used NW from Paris as a directional clue, set it aside. It does not point to the Geode.

The 699 sequence in the T9 cipher section contains an error. One digit is off, making the sequence unresolvable as written.

For those who worked hard on it: the intended decoded message is

“The closer you get the further I fall.”

You earned that. Sit with it for a moment.

That message carries both a literal and a metaphorical meaning within the hunt. One interpretation will guide your feet. The other will guide your thinking. Which is which is part of the solve.

The corrected cipher is the intended path. Do not discard this message. It matters.

Late one night, the Creator joined the Trezor Quest Big Brains with one too many meads in hand. Then, loose lips did what loose lips do.

What followed will forever be known as the “Braum's Belt Incident”, an unintended reveal of coordinate boundaries that were never meant to surface this early in the hunt.

Those coordinates are:

30.86 S  |  35 N  |  94.10 E  |  103.57 W

This was not a planned clue drop. It was a human moment. The coordinates are real, the timing was not. Factor that into how you use them.

The countdown / time lapse on the first release of the TRE-ZERO page was displaying incorrect times. The times were miscalculated by the Curator. However, the Side Quest was still paid out, even though it was his error and the times did not reflect the intended difficulty.

The Curator owns this one. The payout stood regardless.

The hidden Morse code embedded on the Analemma page contained an error. The encoded sequence was transmitting incorrect data.

Now corrected. If you decoded it before the fix, your result was invalid. The corrected version is live.

During site updates on the HOME_1 page, the Curator did not properly update the classes on the Koopas. Instead of doing it right, he took the lazy path and just changed the colors.

This has been noted. This has been logged. This will not be forgotten.

The Curator has been sentenced to 10,000 lashes of a wet noodle and no food for 30.86 to 35 minutes. Justice has been served.
